RGME Donor Promise

We value every penny we receive from our donors. Accordingly, this is our promise to you:

  • With every decision on how to spend money, we relentlessly evaluate the expense in light of our mission statement, by continually asking ourselves “Is this the best way we can spend these funds”?
  • We do not employ a fundraiser, and we cap fundraising expenses at $850 annually.
  • Apart from exceptional circumstances, we solicit donations only once annually (unless you request otherwise), so you needn’t feel compelled to give more than you’ve chosen.
  • We run all of our activities with volunteers, rather than paid staff.  (Occasionally, grants provide for short-term part-time contractors.)
  • We keep the overheads and running costs of our Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization to a minimum, largely with contributions in kind (office space, etc.) and pro-bono contributions.
  • We conduct all bookkeeping, fundraising, and managing of the corporation’s funds by volunteers.
  • We thank our donors with heartfelt gratitude, invitations to our events, thank-offerings of our publications, and reports about the impact of our programs and activities – not with lavish perks.

It is our sincere hope that this promise to you, along with our reports of our activities and events, give you the confidence that your gifts are being put toward the greatest possible impact on our mission.
