Listed by Year

The Abstracts of Papers published on our website for these Sessions can be accessed in two ways.

1) By Author, listed alphabetically by last name and then chronologically by Year of Presentation
2) By Year of Presentation and then by Author:  You are here.

We list the Abstracts published, as their Authors wish, for some of our Sessions (since 2007) at the International Congress on Medieval Studies, including both our Sponsored Conference Sessions and Co-Sponsored Conference Sessions.

Before our first website, Abstracts of some Papers in our Sponsored Sessions appeared in the Old English Newsletter, as reported below, with an Index to their Authors and Years.

We begin also to produce a list of the Authors of the Abstracts published in our Program Booklets for our Events elsewhere, including Seminars, Workshops, Colloquia & Symposia (available on this site at present through the Posts for their specific Events).

Here, Names shown in GREY denote Abstracts for Papers which the Speakers were unable to present at the Congress (notably the cancelled 2020 Congress).  We continue to post their Abstracts as a sign of the authors’ intentions for their subjects.

2021

The rescheduling for the 2021 Congress of all 5 of our Sessions which had been intended for the cancelled 2020 Congress means that most of their intended Papers reclaim a place in 2021.  Their Abstracts are updated to reflect the rescheduling; several have changes from their 2020 versions, for example with a modification of the title.  Several Abstracts are new, reflecting the arrival of their Papers newly for the 2021 Congress.
