<\/a>Celebrating the new version of our copyright font Bembino<\/a>, now with its especially requested Zodiac and Astrological Signs (and other elements), we have been given generous permission for a special Promotional Offer for the Greeting Cards designed expressly by Milly Budny Designs<\/a>.<\/p>\nWishing to use the font, and experiencing its creation from the Get Go (see our Director’s Memoirs, in progress), the artist\/creator\/designer of Milly Budny Designs<\/strong> especially requested the zodiac and astrological signs for that font.\u00a0 She says that she loves celebrating birthdays, friendships, and celebrations in general as well as particular.\u00a0 Cards, real cards \u2014 the kind that you can have and hold (no offense to any other kinds) \u2014 can have a good place in these recollections and celebrations.<\/p>\n You might have noticed that a recurrent hashtag on the Research Group’s Facebook Page<\/a> is this: #notgoingpaperlessanytimesoon<\/span> (no offense to vellum and parchment).\u00a0 There is something special about having the object with greetings to hold in your hands, to display on your mantlepiece, and to enjoy years later, if you keep them, as you look upon the records of your friendships.\u00a0 (I speak as someone engaged in this very activity this year, with some soft tears of recollection and happiness.\u00a0 To be commended as a record.)<\/p>\n The request for the zodiac signs in Bembino sought to blend all the design for the text on the cards into a complementary whole.\u00a0 After all, those are the principles and the practices of our multilingual font Bembino<\/a>, designed for different languages and styles of text to “live in harmony on one page”.\u00a0 Why not apply them to everything that we design?\u00a0 Indeed, why not.\u00a0 Love it when it works.<\/p>\n And so, approaching the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse (on 21 August) and the Autumnal Equinox (on 22 September), we celebrate the seasons with reasons and greetings.\u00a0 By special and generous arrangement with the designer (see Her Page<\/a>), all profits from this promotion will be donated to the Research Group on Manuscript Evidence.<\/p>\n Which is your sign?\u00a0 Every one has its place here.<\/p>\n The designs recognize every Birthday Sign.\u00a0 They also celebrate the full set of signs in a universal Greeting Card.
