You can see it in action here on our official website and in our <a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/publications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Publications<\/a>, both digital and traditional, since its inception. Over the years, responding to requests, the font has grown with support for more languages and improvements.<\/p>\n<p>You can download it here, with its explanatory booklet describing the font and its origin.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/bembino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bembino<\/a> (Version 6.0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another booklet displays specimens of Bembino set for a wide range of languages, Western and non-Western.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/multi-lingual-bembino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Multi-Lingual Bembino<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>More Developments for Bembino<br \/>\nin the 2024 RGME Anniversary Year<\/h2>\n<h3>2) Elvish<\/h3>\n<p>Responding to a request in 2023, our Font Designer has created support for the imaginary <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Elvish_languages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elvish<\/a> languages in a Bembino font for its <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tengwar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tengwar<\/a> script.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing to develop support for languages already embraced in Bembino, in June we announced some more fonts for non-Western languages.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/more-fonts-for-bembino-devanagiri-hindi-and-tibetan\/\">More Fonts for Bembino Devanagiri, Hindi, and Tibetan<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3) Reid Byers&#8217; <em>Imaginary Books<\/em> set in Bembino<\/h3>\n<p>In November the first full-length book using Bembino was published, as the font preferred by its author, our Associate <a href=\"https:\/\/reidbyers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reid Byers<\/a>, for the catalogue of his exhibition now on display at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grolierclub.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Grolier Club<\/a> in New York City (December 5, 2024 \u2013 February 15, 2025).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/reidbyers.com\/?page_id=147\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Imaginary Books: Lost, Unfinished, and Fictive Works Found Only in Other Books<\/a> (New Castle, DE and Paris: Oak Knoll Books and Le Club Fortsas, 2024). He gave the RGME a preview of his extraordinary collection of &#8220;Imaginary Books&#8221; and the exhibition for our <a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/024-autumn-symposium-at-the-helm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">2024 Autumn Symposium<\/a> in October. His Abstract and companion image in the Symposium Booklet reports his approach and shows a specimen page from his catalogue, set in Bembino.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/download\/19412\/?tmstv=1735498964\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 Autumn Symposium &#8220;At the Helm&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reid&#8217;s book was designed by Matthew Young and published by Oak Knoll Press and the Club Fortas. We congratulate them for the achievement, which brings instruction, the sense of wonder, and delight.<\/p>\n<h2>And Now There Is BembinoWP for Word<\/h2>\n<p>In December, <strong>BembinoWP<\/strong> came into the world. For years, people have asked for a version to use with Microsoft Word.
