[Posted on 31 August 2025<\/em>]<\/p>\n As we prepare for Episode 22<\/strong> in our series “The Research Group Speaks”<\/a>, we assemble a Handout or Handlist of Resources for information and further exploration.<\/p>\n Episode 22 Registration<\/strong> *****<\/p>\n Here we offer Notes and Links<\/strong> to accompany our presentation in Episode 22 of “Facets of a Font”.<\/p>\n What steps did the RGME take to create and disseminate a multi-lingual digital font which might serve scholars’ and authors’ requirements for representing their texts, enable them and anyone to use the font freely, and adapt the font according to requests?<\/p>\n 1. Create the RGME (1989, Cambridge, U.K.) to engage in Research & to Disseminate Knowledge<\/p>\n 2. Choose the Name of our organization, according with the major research project which gave rise to the RGME<\/p>\n RGME Logo<\/p><\/div>\n 3. Design our Logo<\/a>, Letterhead, Business Cards<\/p>\n 4. Set the Style Manifesto<\/a> for Our Publications (1990) 5. Complete our Research Project and Move to Princeton, New Jersey (1994)<\/p>\n 6. Become Nonprofit Educational Corporation (1999)<\/p>\n 7. Continue Scholarly Activities & Publications<\/p>\n 8. Design, Launch & Expand RGME Bembino<\/a> (from Version 1.0 in 2011, now in Version 6.1), adding languages and other elements by request<\/p>\n 9. Make our copyright multi-lingual digital font available freely for download and use<\/p>\n 10. Add features such as a version for Microsoft Word (BembinoWP for Word<\/a>) to increase accessibility and ease of use for a wide audience, scholarly and other, including everyday<\/p>\n 11. Give thanks to our friends, colleagues, advisors, and users of Bembino as we recognize the distance traversed from the first steps to the present, with advice, requests, and improvements<\/p>\n 12. Celebrate the uses which we can see the font serve purposefully and well in our own and others’ publications of many kinds, both traditional and digital<\/p>\n P.S.
