Campbell<br \/>\nCo-organized by Mildred Budny<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Co-Sponsored by the RGME and<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies (SIMS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/manuscriptevidence.org\/wpme\/2023-international-congress-on-medieval-studies-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 Congress Program<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textmanuscripts.com\/medieval\/manuscript-office-of-the-dead-60899\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">St. Kunibert (Cologne) manuscript of the Office of the Dead and Prayers before Mass<\/a>, dating from 1487, appears to have been used in its monastic community for around three hundred years. [On the manuscript, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christies.com\/en\/lot\/lot-5573304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OFFICE OF THE DEAD and related texts, use of St Kunibert, Cologne, in Latin<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p>It retains an early binding, but close inspection has yielded a story of subsequent changes, additions, and repairs across the long working life of the book.
